We spent a lot of time in the kids section so we didn't really get to explore the whole library. I guess we'll just have to go back ;)
The forecast said rain so we wore our rain boats. It turned out to be sunny, 95, and 87% so the rain boats were a bit over kill. Good thing they are stinkin adorable!

The outside architecture is incredible!
After some time at the library, Kelsey and I met Ethan for lunch. We had been walking around just dying of sweat looking for a place to eat, when we ran into a food truck! I was so happy. Not only were we going to cross something off my list, but we were going to get a little bit more of a taste of Chicago food. Ethan was so kind and let me order the food. While I was ordering two lunches the guy at the window was like "Man. You must be hungry" I laughed and then when he was putting the food in the back he couldn't get the bag open. He was super embarrassed and was like "don't judge." I said, "you won't judge how much I eat and I won't judge your bag opening skills." He laughed so hard and goes " You know what? You're pretty legit! " Okay lame maybe, but I was so excited that he said this. Do you think he would have said that to a tourist?! I think not!!! I'm breaking the tourist bubble one food truck at a time!
I actually had heard a lot about this food truck. Its a newer one, but one of the more popular ones. The food was AMAZING!!! It was super spicy but it was so flavorful that we couldn't stop.

Maybe the best part of the whole experience was where we got to eat it! I still just love the uniqueness of being in a city. You slip into the shadows of the buildings and its like an oasis from the crazy. Plus look at all the stairs! So cool.
Kelsey had a hard time getting in at first (don't even get me started about getting her into her swim diaper and swimming suit) and then she was trying to step into the pool and slipped! It was the funniest thing I have seen all week! It was a total face dive and the best part about it was that she started laughing! After that fall, she was golden for the rest of the evening. You know, until we had to go inside!
The summer is definitely going to be a hot one but I just anticipate many evenings spent in our pool and many days spent at the splash pads or the beaches. No complaints here!
