Park City

The week after graduation, Ethan and I left Kelsey with Gramma and headed to Park City for a mini vacation with our friends. We have made some amazing friends in the program and are all moving away to different parts of the country soon so we wanted to do one last hoorah before everyone left.
We left Monday afternoon on April 27th and got back Wednesday morning on the 29th.Everyone from the "click" was invited : the Apkers, Ablemans, Palmers, Berretts, Morrises, Salmons, and Wings. Because no one brought their kids (except baby Madison and baby Blythe) we were able to play and play and play. We did lots as a group but lots by ourselves too. It was so relaxed.
We slept in, went running, had a tournament of champions on the air, pool, and ping pong tables, watched movies, went shopping, played tons of games, and of course ate tons of food.
The trip was definitely worth it and completely exceeded my expectations.

We all took a turn with a meal and the night the Berretts cooked was so much fun! It was called raclett cooking. As a group we put meats and veggies on top of a skillet type pan, melted cheeses and eggs on little dishes under the skillet, and then passed around potatoes to eat. Once it was all cooked, you took things off the top and out of the trays, mixed it all together and enjoyed.

Payson Temple

At the beginning of May we were able to go to the Payson Temple open house. We didn't have tickets but were able to get in the lines anyway. I have seen a lot of temples but I can honestly say that the Payson temple might be my favorite to date. It is GORGEOUS!!!! I have never seen such stunning architecture.

Kelsey hated putting the booties on like usual, but overall did pretty good. Something that was new to me was the presentation in the sealing room. Once you got to the sealing room, they had a couple explain the marriage ceremony. Kelsey is really into weddings and marriage lately so it was really special to show Kelsey where me and Ethan got married. On our way out of the sealing room, Kelsey knelt at the altar and exclaimed that it was so beautiful. I'm glad that we can have opportunities to show our kids the temples. I love the temple and hope that they will grow up to feel the same way too.
