Clogging!!

I got to clog at a Timpview assembly with the teacher that I am working under. It was really really fun to perform again and it was fun because Ethan saw me dance for the first time. I am really out of practice but it was really fun.

Rex Lee Run

Yesterday Ethan and I ran in the Rex Lee. Out of 1500 people Ethan and I both placed in the top 100. I got 4th over all for the women and 1st in my age division!!! It felt so good to race again, even though it was a fun run :) (PS they messed up the results and so I was given a 3rd place ribbon. I only got 4th by 3 seconds too!)

Puzzles

So recently I have discovered that I love puzzles. I don't love really really really really hard ones, but I do love to put together an occasional puzzle. Here are some I have done this year and last fall.

The End is Here

After 5 years of BYU basketball, my career has finally come to a close. It is a bitter sweet passing though. Ethan and I have never missed a single home game and are sad to finally hit the reality that we now will have to watch the cougars from the comfort of other people's homes (because we all know that we are not going to buy cable). 5 years of basketball, all within the comforts of portal V for vicotry (all but one because we were coming from a soccer game and my friend didn't get the memo).
I wish I could explain to you how much BYU basketball means to the Wing home. Every year to get into the game, you have to go 2 hours early to get a good seat. We did this. This year we had to go about 5 hours early to every game because all the fake fans finally jumped on board and realized that Jimmer was good and that Jackson could steal the ball!! Welcome freshman, PS next time you come to a game, don't wear your high heels!!
Anyway, that is a lot of standing in line. Will we miss that? NO WAY!!! Will we miss the panic of maybe not getting a seat, of saving the seats while one of us had a game, the few times that we had to cut in the line to get into the Marriot center, the panic of finding a way to get Ethan into the Marriott cetner because he had work and the student section was full? NO WAY
However, we will miss the personal realationship that we have with the Cougars, not just because of Jimmer this year, but all of them. Trent, Lee, JT, Jackson, Haws, both Collinsworths, Loyd, Jimmer, Anderson, Davies, Coach Rose, Miles, McGregor and so on. We love them all and will miss them immensly. We love BYU basketball and hate to see it leave, but every senior must graduate!! Go Cougs!!!

What Could have Been

How do you know when your husband has hit an all time low?

When he tells you that he is never going to another basketball game in his life and when you ask him, "are you sure because those are pretty strong words?" he says, "Oh. I'm sure. I have to ween myself off of it so I don't hurt so bad for the rest of my life.

We are hurting in the Wing home. All we have now is a whole lot of "what could have been". We love you Cougars, but man you cut us deep. You cut us real deep back there.

A Mommy with no Kids

Yesterday in church, our second counselor asked us to watch his sons while he sat on the stand because his wife had just had a baby the night before and was not able to come to church yet. We could only get the 5 year old named Ty to sit by us because the 3 year old Sean saw me and started screaming to his Dad that i was scary!! Pretty funny but not as funny as Ty was about to get.
So we are in the middle of the first speaker and Ty leans over and says "Hey did you know where baby's drink from?" He proceeded to show Ethan and I and told us that that was the weirdest thing he had ever heard of in his life. We got a good chuckle from that, but Ty was not done.
He leaned over to me and this is how the conversation went
Ty "Do you have any kids?"
Cami "No. Not yet."
Ty " Oh. Youre not grown up yet huh?"
Cami "Yup. I am not old enough."
Ty pointing to Ethan "Is he your dad?"
Cami "no, he is my husband"
Ty with a very confused face " How are you a mommy with a husband and don't have any kids?'
Cami " I am just not old enough yet."
Ty "I have never met a mommy with no kids."

It was pretty hilarious in his 5 year old voice.

At the end of Sacrament meeting, Ty and Sean were reunited and told me that they had a new baby brother (again) and proceeded to fight about what his name is. Their brothers name is Eli but Sean got so mad and yelled "HIS NAME IS NOT JESUS!!! IT IS MOSES!!! IT was hilarious

Old House: New House

I know most of you have had the privilege of visiting our new house, but not every many of you had the honor of seeing our old house. We are so grateful for both because both severed their purposes. Lets just say we are grateful that our time ended at our first house and allowed us to move into our new house! I thought a little side by side comparison would be fun for everyone. Keep in mind that they are both basements and we are paying less than we did before.

Front Room
(and yes. both have green carpet, but old house had pee/animal stained carpet and new house does not)

Bathroom
I promise I am not kidding. This is it. Oh and you have to step up into the bathroom so Ethan hit is head 90% of the time he was going into the bathroom.

Oh and here are a few more new bedroom pictures that got skipped!!

Closet
(both are "walk in." I mean I guess you technically can walk in to any closet right?)

Pantry
Photobucket
(PS. That little door in the old pantry had a case of Tequila in it when we moved in. Also it was one of the many mold spots in our house. I also got tired of proving that this house is better and only took pictures of two of the walls in the new pantry and not all 3. You get the idea)

Spare Bedroom vs Laundry Room
(As much as we loved not having a washer and dryer in our house, we decided that it was time to have the luxury.)

And just a few more pictures just because. Did I mention that old house does not have heat and new house has heat AND air conditioning both of which we pay less for? Just sayin

Photo 1. Our back yard where our neighbors mom lived in a tent for 2 weeks while her daughter was having a baby, where a baby deer was birthed, and where our neighbors kept their 3 dogs and 1 goat.
Photo 2. Our hall way. Ps the door on the side is the bathroom so walking through the kitchen got you to the bathroom :) and the door in front is the spare room that we viewed earlier
Photo 3. The corner of our front room that you could access the water heater
Photo 4. Our coat closet. All jokes aside we miss this like crazy
Photo 5. Our adorable kitchen sink that was built for bathing small animals that produced SCALDING water only, but we didn't complain because it was the source of heat in our home.

Because this is already long enough, the only picture that I do not have of our new house is a book case next to the couch in the front room that holds all our movies, games, and books.
WE LOVE OUR NEW HOUSE!!!!!
