Just for kicks here's how it worked:
They called our number deli style and we went up and picked what color of stem we wanted, green or white.
They guy stuck a rod into the glass furnace then rolled it into the white or green coloring
He went back to the furnace and got more glass and pressed it into the coloring of the flower
From there we got to stick it into this furnace that sort of fussed the stem and flower colors together.
We took it over to this table, sat down and put the rod on the top with the glass facing out towards the right. One guy turned it, while another guy helped us pull the glass in to the shape of a flower. The glass cooled so quickly so we had to do this part relatively quick. Once our flower was shaped, then the man twisting our flower added stem detail if we wanted it and broke the flower from the rod.
He took the flower over to the finishing table where we torched the end to make it smooth.
It was very hands on to get more people through the class but I loved it all the same.
While we were at class, Aunt Kay was watching the girls at her office. They LOVED it!!!
