18 months

On December 2nd Kelsey turned 18months. She actually has been going to nursery since we moved to Provo so there was no real celebration in her honor. I really wanted to get her 18month pictures but was a little worried because Kelsey, well she just doesn't like to smile. Its just not her thing for pictures. When we got to the place, the lady kept asking me "What does she like to do?" Well, she likes to climb and explore.  Lets capture that picture lady! Its almost like she didn't believe me because finally after all these pictures, I suggested we just call it good and move on. The photographer was happy to oblige. I still think these pictures are adorable because I think Kelsey is adorable, but I can also say that I only bought one in hard copy! Kelsey is just hard to capture at these stage.

Don't get me wrong, I love the pictures because I think she looks so cute but all she wanted to do was climb the props and play. That combination just doesn't leave many options for good pictures.

Kelsey at 18 months is just a lot of fun. I know I may eat my words some moments, but I can also say that she is really easy. We have such a routine down and she can communicate so well that we just do our thing. Kelsey is also really go with the flow so its just sorta easy right now. Don't be fooled though! There are still days that I just want to quit my job and move to Hawaii, but mostly its not so bad.
I am shamelessly copying Julie's format but her it goes
Kelsey loves reading
Climbing,
Punzel (Rapunzel aka Tangled)
Elmo
Being outside/ walks
Nursery
Dancing
Fruit snacks!!!!!
Rice, noodles, bananas, and oranges
Chips and popcorn and candy
And babies (awe, baby!)

House? Hello!

She is at a weird stage for eating. She wouldn't eat a hot dog, carrots, or a roll, but had 3 helping of KALE!!! KALE!!!

Kelsey does not like
Sleeping without her binky! (a new years resolution that I am still too scared to face.)
Smiling for pictures
Showers
Sitting in a grocery cart (if she can stand I have more time)
Pretty much any food with nutrition value
Being left inside while someone goes outside
Sand and water (the beach)
And Changing her diapers

The cutest thing about this age is that she actually gets friends. Sadie is in the same nursery class AND lives across the parking lot. The only way we can get Kelsey moving on Sunday mornings is if I say, Want to go to Nursery and see sadie? She gets so excited. Every time we go out side, she always runs towards Sadies house yelling her name. They play so cute together. I love watching them.

I love being with Kelsey these days. She is so cute and I love watching her turn into a little person. The way she learns, the way she copies us, and the way she tries to do everything her self. She is super independent but I am trying to teach her that it is okay to ask for help. If she gets frustrated she will go, Helf (help) Pleeease.! She also does not understand that just because she says please that doesn't mean that she always gets what she wants. Example. She sees chips, Chips Please. Its cute but its not magic. We love you Smooch. You smile so easily, love to laugh, give the best hugs and kisses and make my day so much better. You are a wonderful person and I am so glad you were sent to our family.
